What if I don't want to go to Church? [Return]

That’s understandable. Lots don’t.

Not everybody’s cup of tea. And when you walk in, it feels strange.

But it’s just possible you ask the question because you suspect there’s something in it after all. And the way to discover is to make contact and talk about it.

Some say you can be a good Christian without going to church. That’s true, if you mean, by the word “Christian”, a “good person”. There are so many wonderful people who have nothing to do with churches – and, indeed, some pretty awful folk who worship regularly. Admitted.

It’s true, too, that many people find deep religious and Godly experience in many other places [on a hill, in the garden, amongst the family, listening to music…] – and many do pray alone at home.

But it’s also true that Christianity is a lifetime business and, of all ways of life, it’s normally best worked out together with others, in the community of a church. That’s not always easy to do – but there’s a lot of history to indicate that that’s the way to get on with it. I'd be happy to talk with anyone about all this - you just have to ask.
